Loving Father God, creator of all things, we turn to You in humility and faith, asking Your grace and protection for this tiny premature baby in the neonatal incubator. At this delicate moment, we ask for the intercession of Saint Gianna Beretta Molla and Saint Zélia Martin, two saintly mothers who also faced challenges in raising their children.

O Saint Gianna Beretta Molla, who chose the life and well-being of your child over your own life, pray to God for this little premature baby. May he receive the strength and love he needs to overcome the challenges of his condition and grow in health and grace.

Santa Zélia Martin, mother of Santa Teresinha, who, despite the difficulties, raised your daughter in faith and in the love of God, pray for this premature baby and his family. May they find comfort and hope in God, even in the most difficult times.

Heavenly Father, grant doctors, nurses and other health professionals wisdom, discernment and ability to care for this little baby with love and dedication. May Your protective presence be with him, giving him the strength he needs to overcome the challenges he faces.

Also bless the parents of this little baby, giving them faith, patience and love to face adversity and celebrate victories. May they lean on You and on the intercession of Saint Gianna and Saint Zelia, finding peace and hope in Your love.

We ask this in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, our loving Mother. Amen.

Amen.

Dear Parents, It is with deep affection and empathy that we address you in this delicate and challenging time. We know that the journey of having a premature baby can be full of uncertainties, fears and anguish, but we want to remind you that you are not alone in this journey. First, it’s important to remember that neonatal medicine has been advancing rapidly, offering the little warriors who arrive early the best chances for recovery and development. The medical team that takes care of your baby is trained and committed to providing the best possible treatment, always aiming at your child’s well-being and evolution. It’s normal to feel a roller coaster of emotions when dealing with prematurity. Allow yourself to experience these emotions and share them with each other and with people close to you. Emotional support is essential to face this moment with more serenity. Also look for support groups or other families who have gone through or are going through the same situation, as the exchange of experiences can bring comfort and valuable perspectives. Celebrate your baby’s every little achievement, however small it may seem. Each day in the NICU is a step forward, and each progress is a victory that deserves to be celebrated. Whether it’s a smile, a look or the simple fact of breathing better, each gesture is a sign of strength and hope. Finally, don’t forget to take care of yourself. The strength and emotional stability of the parents are essential to support the baby in his recovery journey. Try to maintain a healthy routine, eat well, rest whenever possible and look for activities that help relieve stress. Have faith and hope, because, despite the adversities, your love is the driving force that will guide the development of your little warrior. Remember that you are the best parents your baby could have, and together, with love and dedication, you will overcome any obstacles that come your way.

With love and solidarity,
