L. God, come to our aid.

A. Lord, help us without delay.

L. Glory to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

A. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.

Amen.

On the eighth day after his birth, Jesus shed the first drops of his blood when he was circumcised in the Temple in obedience to the Law of Moses.

Let us meditate that Jesus allowed this to satisfy divine justice for our sins.

Let us be sincerely moved to sorrow, promising to the Lord, with his powerful grace, to be truly chaste in soul and body in the future. Amen.

5 Our Father… 5 Glory be to the Father… Lord, we beseech you, help your servants whom you have redeemed with your precious blood.

In the Garden of Olives, Jesus was so agonized at the thought of his Passion and death that he shed sweat and blood throughout his body. All of this was due to our ingratitude.

Let us repent, therefore, of having so unworthily responded to the countless blessings of the Lord and let us propose to make good use of the graces of Heaven and holy inspirations. Amen.

5 Our Father… 5 Glory be to the Father… Lord, we beseech you, help your servants whom you have redeemed with your precious blood.

During the cruel scourging to which he was subjected, Jesus shed blood from his torn flesh. He immolated himself to the Father so that we might be free and forgiven of our sins.

And why do we not control our anger and self-love? Let us strive, for the future, to be more patient in tribulations, to despise ourselves and to receive with peace the injuries that are done to us. Amen.

5 Our Father… 5 Glory be to the Father… Lord, we beseech you, help your servants whom you have redeemed with your precious blood.

Jesus was humiliated and mocked when they put a crown of thorns on his head. His blood dripped, covering his face and hair. And do we continue to feed ourselves with pride and to foster indecent images and sinful ideas in our minds?

5 Our Father… 5 Glory be to the Father… Lord, we beseech you, help your servants whom you have redeemed with your precious blood.

Oh! How much blood did Jesus shed when he made his way to Calvary carrying the heavy Cross, leaving these precious streets of Jerusalem and those places where he passed; all of this was due to the scandals and bad examples with which creatures were to drag others onto the path of perdition.

Who knows if we belong to the number of these unhappy ones? Who knows how many, because of our bad example, have been precipitated into hell? And do we still not care to remedy this?

Let us strive in the future to contribute to the salvation of souls, admonishing and edifying them, and being a model for them of good and holy works. Amen.

5 Our Father… 5 Glory be to the Father… Lord, we beseech you, help your servants whom you have redeemed with your precious blood.

Even after his death, when they opened his side with a spear, Jesus poured from his beloved heart blood mixed with water to show us that he no longer had any blood left, having already shed it to the last drop for the salvation of all mankind.

Oh divine goodness of our Redeemer, who will not love you? Who will not be consumed with love for you, who have done everything for our redemption!

Let all creatures on Earth, angels and saints in Heaven, together with Mary most holy, praise and bless the precious blood of Jesus. To him, therefore, honor and glory for all ages. Amen.

To honor the 33 years that Jesus lived here on Earth, in this last Mystery, let us pray only: 3 Our Father… 3 Glory Be…

Lord, we pray that you help your servants who you redeemed with your precious Blood.

Let us pray,

O precious Blood of eternal life, price and ransom of the whole world, drink and bath of our souls, who continually defend the cause of men before the throne of Supreme Mercy, I adore You deeply, Lord Jesus, and I want, as much as I am able, to make amends to You for the insults and outrages You constantly receive from men, especially those who dare to utter blasphemies against You.

And who will not bless this Blood of infinite value? Who will not feel inflamed with love for Jesus, who shed it? What would become of me if I were not redeemed by this divine Blood? Who drew it from the veins of my Lord to the last drop? Ah! It was undoubtedly love!

O immense love, who gave us such a healing balm!

O priceless balm, sprung from the fountain of infinite love, make all hearts and all tongues praise, glorify, and thank You now and for all eternity. Amen.

Supplication

Sorrowful Mother, I beg you, through the merits of your sufferings at the death of your Son, to offer to God the Father the precious Blood that flowed from the wounds of Jesus Christ crucified, for the poor wayward priests who have become unfaithful to their sublime vocation, so that they may soon return to the Good Shepherd. Amen.

Each mystery, composed of five beads, represents the five wounds of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The six mysteries of five beads represent the thirty years of Jesus’ hidden life in Nazareth. The seventh mystery consists of three beads to represent the three apostolic years of the Savior, which were also the last three years of His life.
